Alison and Bruce
We admire your courage in considering adoption. One can only try to imagine the difficulty that comes with your search for a happy and safe home for your child… it is amazing and selfless. We believe that there is no pre-written script for how life should go. We are flexible, easy-going people who have complete faith that there can be a happy outcome for all of the unexpected, but remarkable, adventures that life offers. We hope that this letter will give you an idea of who we are and the kind of home that we are committed to providing for a child. Our hearts are open and ready to begin our family through adoption and we will always welcome you into our lives.
Our life is filled with the simple yet vital things… laughter, love and a strong sense of support. We have created a happy and secure home in which honesty and open communication are greatly valued. The best quality about our relationship is the amount of laughter we share which makes for an easy, loving and secure environment to help us through all of life’s ups and downs. We met in a café several years ago and have never questioned our fate to be together. We are best friends and love being married… now, we will find such happiness in having a family! We place great importance on education, growth and openness to all of life’s wonders. We live in San Francisco in a very quiet part of the city where we are finishing the renovation of our new home. For us, this renovation project gives us plenty of room to grow and expand our family. Our best friends live in the flat upstairs and we are lucky to have family and close friends throughout the city and surrounding areas. It is fun to live by several parks and we look so forward to the day when our children will join the laughter and activity of the playgrounds. We are a young and active couple who love to ski, golf and gather with friends. Our free time is often spent travelling to Colorado where we visit with family, see football games and go on adventures with our long time friends. Traditional weekend outings with family and friends in the Bay area keeps our calendar full, but we also enjoy quietly exploring San Francisco or just spending quiet time at home cooking, reading or playing games.
Bruce’s contagious laugh is priceless and instantly makes anyone feel that it’s a great day! I often find myself commenting that the world needs more people like Bruce because of his amazing outlook on life and the way that he treats all people. Everywhere we go, people meet and love Bruce for his funny comments and respectful way. Bruce is kind, honest and brings calm to any situation. He can also be the life of any party. Being married to Bruce is a blessing for me that is hard to describe but having a partnership with someone so loving and strong had always been my life’s dream. Watching him as a Father will be incredible. Bruce Describes Alison… I’ve been intrigued and infatuated with Alison since she sat on the bench next to me at the Rosewood Café. Our first conversation was unforgettable for me. Within minutes, I learned that this woman was powerful, funny, sensitive, courageous and her laughter, contagious. Our courtship was just as amazing as our first conversation. Over a short period of time, I grew to discover that Alison is just simply a great person to love. She is selfless, witty and rooted in family tradition. Her love for people and concern for others’ well-being is limitless. I know Alison is going to be such a great mom who will nurture our children and love all of us unconditionally. More on Alison… Alison grew up in the Midwest and in junior high school, moved to Colorado where she loved the mountains, frequent ski trips and eventually, attending the University of Colorado. Upon earning her degree, she moved to San Francisco and fell in love with the city and soon after, her husband. She is best friends with her Grandmother in Denver and often visits to take her around to their favorite spots. For Alison, maintaining close friendships with special people from all chapters of her life is second nature and makes for fun visits and vacations in all parts of the country. Alison’s interests range from making a good meatloaf to designing jewelry and everything in between. She looks forward to being a stay-at-home mom so she will have plenty of time to teach, play and explore with the little ones. There is no better day than one that starts with a walk to the Golden Gate Bridge (a stroller will be a welcome addition) and ends with a quiet meal at home with Bruce. More on Bruce… Bruce comes from a big and loving Italian family who are devoted to each other and love to have fun. He grew up in the Bay Area playing all types of sports resulting in his playing football on a scholarship in college. His current passion is golf and he also loves to ski and play softball with friends. He loves to discover new places in the city and is a big fan of a great meal!! Needless to say, plenty of time in the Caron home is spent cooking or finding a new restaurant to relax and enjoy someone else’s cooking (and cleaning). Bruce is a partner in the family road construction business and spends his days working with his Brother, Aunt and Uncle (among many others). He is fortunate to love his work. It is such a blessing to live close to Bruce’s family and have their constant support and influence in our lives. There is always some kind of family dinner, birthday party or excursion going on and we can’t wait to introduce a little one into this amazing group of people (and all of the good food and fun)! In closing… We greatly value family, togetherness, hard work, kindness, open communication and respect for individuality.
