You decide whether you would like to let them adopt your baby.We are here for you to help make the decision that best suits your needs.
Amy and Christopher
Thank you so much for having a look at our story in becoming adoptive parents. It is our wish to adopt a child and to bring he or she up in life filled with all the joy and experience that we each have enjoyed in our own lives. To do this together as a family is what we are hoping for and we thank you for your consideration. We know that you have not got an easy decision to make. We know it takes great strength and courage as well as a lot of love and we commend you for it. Here is our story: We are Christopher and Amy. We live in Kentfield in Marin County. We have been together 10 years, married for 8 and have lived here in the Bay Area for six years. We moved from London, England, which we miss, (not that easy to get a good cup of tea here!) but return to 2 or 3 times a year to see family and friends as well as shopping for our business. We are very pleased to be living here in Northern California, as it really is an exceptional place to put down roots. We wanted to bring up our children here and start a business. The business we’ve got going, the family part has taken longer than we thought! Hence our desire to adopt a baby.
Chris is a proper English gentleman, born and raised in London. He has one brother and his parents, Jack and Elsa, who live in the countryside of England in a converted barn which is over 400 years old! Our business is a European Antique, Gift and Candy company based in San Francisco. We have a retail shop and a wholesale candy business that we love running and allow us quite a lot of flexibility. Chris manages a large upscale antique gallery full time while Amy runs the shop with the help of great employees. Amy also works as a freelance fashion and prop stylist for magazines and advertising.
We live in a three-bedroom house filled with treasures from our lives and travels. Amy has her kid friendly "art studio" where her nieces spend endless hours rubberstamping, drawing, collaging and reading. We share the house with our two little pooches, Otis (from London) and Stanley (hails from L.A.and acts like it!) We have ¼ acre garden and fantastic views of Mount Tamalpais. We are right in the middle of beautiful natural surroundings with easy access to local parks and lots of natural beauty. The schools in our neighborhood are some of the best in the country but as we are both privately educated and have benefited from all that that entails, we would like to send our children to private schools. Our spiritual inclinations are deep rooted but not to the point of being scary! Amy was raised Jewish in a reform synagogue but Catholic educated for the most part and her mother is a Protestant! What a combination! But it makes her very open minded and well versed on most religious and spiritual situations! “I am very proud to be Jewish and it is a very important aspect of my life. I love the fact that I had such a diverse exposure to all matters of religion and spirituality.” Chris was raised without any specific religious affiliation but he has a strong moral code and a deep spiritual belief.
We spend a lot of time together and never seem to get bored in each other’s company, which always surprises friends. That’s because we share many things in common and like to do a lot of different activities. We have a good and blessed life and a ton of fun together. A list of fun…. We roller skate, shop for antiques, travel, go to the movies and museums, walk the pooches, collect various antiques, including vintage clothes, read a ton, and Amy is very crafty (look out Martha!) She also has a slight obsession with Hello Kitty! Chris does the cooking, Amy does the baking, Chris is also a better washer-upper and ironer!
Chris and I are big believers in fate, gratitude, and the power of the Universe. We know that when the right thing is supposed to happen it will at the right time. We hope that this letter gives you a brief glimpse into our lives and that you can see all the potential and love we have to give to your child. Thank you very much for taking the time to consider us. We wish courage, love and support in what ever decision you make, no matter what.
