You decide whether you would like to let them adopt your baby.We are here for you to help make the decision that best suits your needs.
Lesley & Andre
We are Andre and Lesley from Marin County in California. We believe that seeking out the best life possible the child you’re carrying is the greatest expression of parental love, and we want to thank you for your decision. We hope that our letter will show you what kind of family we are and what a wonderful life we would provide for your baby. Our Home & Our Values Faith is important in our house. Our children attend a local Catholic school because we value the principles of community and tolerance it teaches, and we raise our kids to respect everyone’s uniqueness and beliefs. Above all, family as always been the most important thing to us. We really enjoy the company of our children, Alec and Evan. We believe that the best way to guide them through life is to spend time with them and try to be the kind of people that they will admire. Our family enjoys lots of laughs and good times, but we also provide our kids with a solid structure and healthy discipline. We were lucky enough to have these two beautiful boys before the biological clock ran out on us. So now, we would dearly love to add a little girl to our lives. The neighborhood we live in is quiet and friendly, and our house sits on a hill and has a view of the San Francisco Bay. We are fortunate to be financially secure. We have saved enough for our retirement (and for those rare "rainy days"), and are able to focus our energy on enjoying life. We love being able to provide our children with the kind of things that will help them learn and be successful, grounded, and happy in life. Our home is full of lots of books and both boys have computers. But we like to have fun and laugh too, so Santa is always very generous. About Us We have been together for more than 12 years. We actually met through an ad in the personal columns in the paper! We consider ourselves blessed to have found one another because we make such a good team: Our skills and our personalities complement each other well. We are both blessed with consistent good health, and as a family we try to live healthy lifestyles and get regular "tune-ups." We are an active family who likes to get out, and see the world. We travel often to Europe and within the U.S. We also take frequent trips to the beach, the mountains, state parks, and local fairs and festivals. Lesley I grew up in England, where my family still lives. I have two younger sisters with whom I share lots of happy memories of us reading, craft making, and inventing fun games. I’d really, really love to have a little girl to treasure and teach the kinds of fun and useful things my sisters and I learned as children. I’m proud and happy to be a full-time mom. I feel so lucky to have found my husband and to have had two great kids. I used to be a teacher, so I often volunteer as "Room Mom" at our boys’ school where I help run activities and organize events for students. In my free time, I sing in the church choir and enjoy entertaining at home, reading, knitting, and sewing. I studied business in school and I keep a connection to the business world by keeping the books for Andre’s company, but the best job I’ve ever had is being a mom! Andre I grew up in Ohio and attended college there before studying journalism in Boston. I have two older sisters and grew up in a very close family. One of the best things about growing up in a close family, is that we all love to get together as often as we can to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings. I’m a fun-loving and involved dad. I like playing outdoor and indoor games with the kids. I’m a writer, so I also really enjoy reading (or making up) stories with the boys at bedtime. Whenever I have free time, I grow my own vegetables in our back yard, andam currently taking trumpet lessons. I worked for newspapers and magazines for years before starting my own publishing business in Marin County. I love what I do and I love being able to spend a lot of time with my kids because being a dad is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Our Sons: Alec & Evan Alec is eight years old. He’s smart and cautious and quiet. He is a peaceful and happy child who loves books, Legos, and science museums. He also loves the beach and the snow. His favorite activity is when we all sit down together and play family games. Evan, our five year-old, plans to be a firefighter when he grows up. In the meantime, he loves to run around, kick balls, and make a lot of noise. He is a very friendly and gentle little boy who loves people. And, he is having the best time this year in kindergarten. Before You Go... We believe that every child is unique and precious. If you choose our family for your daughter, she will grow up in the secure and loving environment. She will have a hard-working, caring, an attentive dad and a loving, stay-at-home mom. She’ll also have two playful big brothers, nine very fun cousins, and a whole bunch of aunts, uncles, and grandparents. She’ll also get to choose plenty of toys and games to fit own personality, and she’ll enjoy a life filled with friends, fun play-dates, birthday parties, family gatherings, and laughter. Most importantly, she will have all of the support, guidance, and love she will need in life to help her pursue the things that interest her and to be the person she wants to be. We hope this letter has given you a glimpse of life in the Shashaty family. Thank you so much for reading about us and for considering us as potential parents for your daughter. We would love to meet you, answer any questions you may have, and get a chance to get to know you. If you have any questions or would like to meet us, please feel free to contact us directly through our very friendly adoption attorney, Susan Romer, at 1-800-U-ADOPT-US (1-800-823-6788) or adamsromer@aol.com.
