We’re a young couple in our early 30’s that has been blessed with an amazing life. We want to grow our family through adoption and continue our great adventure.
We hope to hear from you, and we would be delighted to learn more about your dreams for you and your child. In the following pages is our story.
We hope you’ll get a sense through our words and photos the love and opportunities we can provide for your child.
We met as teenagers in Texas. After eight years of dating, we were married on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at a small church in Hawaii. After our wedding, we moved to California where Bill pursued an Internet idea. Before we knew what happened, the Internet changed everything and it changed our lives.
With our good fortune, we wanted to inspire and give back to the communities that shaped our lives. Amanda volunteered for Habitat for Humanities building homes in San Francisco. Together we started a foundation for educating inner-city children. Our work strengthened our hope to pass on our passions and values to our children.
After trying to conceive, we started our family through adoption with Jacob in 2004. We’d like to grow our family and provide your child with a stable, two parent family with strong values for hard work, honesty, and an incredible passion for life.
About Amanda
I was born in New Mexico and lived with my mother and my older brother Will. We had some hard times but along the way, my mother met John who became my stepfather. While he was not my biological father, he raised me with the kind of compassion and love that I hope to pass onto your child.
My parents’ support helped both Will and I to complete our college degrees. I finished with a degree in Microbiology and then continued to the California Culinary Academy to pursue a certificate in Baking and Pastries.
Life has given me wonderful gifts despite some challenges, and I hope to pass on my optimism and passion to your child.
About Bill
My family came to America with very little but my parents always placed my education and welfare ahead of their own. They each worked two jobs to pay for my education. The work ethic they taught me has helped throughout my life.
I’ve been a part of six successful software companies. Fortune Magazine, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today have described my companies as innovative and groundbreaking.
Whether it’s music, sports or geeky software, I’ll patiently pass on the values that made me successful so
your child can live up to their own calling and dreams.
About Jacob
Jacob was born in Ohio. His birthmother gave us the most wonderful gift and asked us to help Jacob achieve his full potential.
We have a close relationship with his birth family including four full siblings, grandparents and cousins. We visited Ohio with Jacob this last summer.
We choose an open adoption with the hope that Jacob maintains a bond with
his birth family.
Jacob enjoys swimming, baseball, rock climbing and even snowboarding. He’ll be an amazing big brother to your child.
At Home
Our home is in historic town of Hillsborough, California near San Francisco. The town rests quietly in the mountains among tall pine, redwood, and eucalyptus trees. Our yard is covered with flowers and fruit trees, providing a wonderful place for a child to play and daydream. Miles of hiking trails, lakes, and the Pacific Ocean are all just a few minutes away.
As your child grows up, the town provides a wonderful and safe environment with excellent schools.
We enjoy traveling as a family. Whether it is visiting Lake Tahoe for the winter season or early Spring in Hawaii watching humpback whales, experiencing the world will be a part of your child’s great adventure.
Final Thoughts
