Conny & Holger
Dear Expectant Mother: In 2006, we were blessed with a baby through open adoption and now we have a sweet, energetic, adorable little boy named Robin. Our lives have been deeply enriched through the addition of a child. Family is very important to us and we feel the time is right to expand our family once more. Our own childhood experience of growing up with two loving parents and siblings has given each of us an important foundation in life and taught us about companionship and sharing. We would like our own children to grow up with this same experience.
We are Conny and Holger. We grew up in Germany and have known each other for more than 11 years. We both love to swim and met early one morning at the pool and instantly became friends. Soon we fell in love and after dating for five years we married in early 2001. We are a very romantic, happy and stable couple, are best friends to each other, and love spending time together enjoying our many common interests. Seven years ago we moved to Northern California from Germany to expand our professional knowledge. In November 2007, we moved to Indianapolis for an exciting new job opportunity for Holger. We feel blessed to live in a wonderful and very safe neighborhood 20 miles northwest of Indianapolis. We really appreciate the openness and kindness of the people. It is an ideal place to raise children, with lots of parks, libraries, and plenty of opportunities for indoor and outdoor activities. Most importantly, the community has a great school system. We are lucky to have many friends with children in our neighborhood so our children will have plenty of playmates.
There is no doubt that Conny is the love of my life. She is a wonderful, fun-loving wife to me and a compassionate and generous woman to others. Conny is a very warm, dedicated and thoughtful mother. She gives so much love to Robin and there is no doubt that she will extent her love to our next child. Conny grew up in a small and peaceful German village, in a warm and loving family. Both her parents are musicians who taught their children to play various instruments. We both appreciate music very much and I spend many happy hours listening to her playing the guitar or the mandolin. Conny has a M.A. in Social Work and took care of children in foster care situations. In California she continued to work until Robin was born. We are fortunate that she is able to be a stay-at-home mother.
Holger is a warm, romantic and caring husband. I especially appreciate his reliability, honesty, openness, and helpfulness. We share a healthy lifestyle which includes not only a nutritious diet but also many outdoor activities including running, hiking, biking, or just gardening in our backyard. Holger grew up playing the piano, and at night we often play music together. Holger was blessed by a happy childhood in a loving and nurturing family with two sisters. Both of his parents were very involved in his life. Holger is a very good father to Robin. Thanks to his flexible work schedule we are able to spend lots of time together as a family. Holger has a M.S. in the Life Sciences area and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. In California he worked as a scientist at Stanford University Medical Center. Today he works for one of the most successful pharmaceutical companies in the US. In his professional life, he dedicates his time to fighting diabetes and other diseases. While he is a hard-working man, his first priority is his family, a value he learned as a child from his own father.
To see Robin growing and developing every day is a wonderful blessing to us. He is a very happy little boy, is outgoing and loves to engage with people of all ages. He likes to be outside, go on adventures, play with sand, climb or collect stones and leaves. Robin is an exceptionally social child who loves being with other children. We know he will be a great older brother. Family & Friends & Pets We remain in close contact with our relatives in Germany and meet regularly for family reunions. We also stay in touch with goods friends from all over the world. We feel very lucky to have such a reliable and loving network of people. We also have a beautiful cat named Toulouse. He is a breed called British Shorthair and is the most friendly and peaceful creature in the world. He is gentle with children and has become Robin’s best friend. Values Our parents taught us the importance of family, education, respect for others, kindness, and commitment. These values have become cornerstones in our relationship. We communicate well with each other, are able to admit when we are wrong and forgive one another. We look forward to sharing our love and these values with another child and supporting our children in whatever endeavor they undertake. We also have a strong faith in God and will raise our children with Christian beliefs. In addition, we plan on providing the best education for our children and encourage them to develop individual talents and skills, which we believe will help in developing healthy and happy. Finally... We know you want the best family environment and opportunities to be provided for your baby and we are committed to making that happen. Your baby will grow up in a nurturing, stable and financially-secure home filled with warmth and love. We will foster a strong sense of family, an understanding of the importance of education and will encourage him or her to passionately pursue his or her talents.
