We are here for you to help make the decision

Cori and Scott
Dear Expectant Mother,
We are Cori and Scott. Thank you taking the time to read our letter. We appreciate the chance to tell you our story. We hope that you will get to know us through our words and pictures and see the love and opportunities we can provide a child. We know that you are in the process of making a difficult decision in considering adoption and we respect your strength and courage.
About Us
A chance introduction several years ago led to a dinner date while Scott was on a business trip. The incredible and immediate connection led to a relationship that was nurtured over weekends split between Cori’s home in Orange County and Scott’s in San Diego. We have been together for over four years. We both deeply wanted to become parents and we continue to feel very connected by our desire to have a family. We live in San Diego, California and we work together as Realtors. We both are very involved in our community and have raised two Guide Dog Puppies for the blind and hope to train more in the future. We are currently proud “fur” parents to our dogs, Agatha and Gidget and our cats, Teemu and Happy. On the weekend you will find us playing softball and soccer, watching movies or hanging out with our friends, barbequing or playing with our puppies.
About Scott
I was raised in Santa Cruz by my parents with my younger sister, Sussi. In addition to school and household chores, our parents always encouraged us to participate in many different activities including sports and music. I received a degree in electrical engineering but soon realized that I was not meant for a life designing computers. Instead, I found myself gravitating towards marketing and sales. After pursing my Masters degree in the evenings I started my own company and I am currently a real estate developer. I enjoy reading, working out at the gym, playing team sports and spending time with my family. I also enjoy researching the Real Estate Market to keep up to date on the current trends.
Cori writes…
"Scott is what you would call the serious one; he makes most of the business decisions. I find that he is also a very fun guy and amusing guy to be around. He makes me laugh with his silly jokes and keeps me on my toes. He has worked very hard to build our business and has done a great job. I believe in him and know that whatever he puts his mind to, he will accomplish. He is close to his family, and will go out of his way to help people. I married Scott knowing that he would be a great husband as well as a fantastic dad."
About Cori
I was raised in Orange County, in Southern California, and grew up with an older sister, Nicki. Our parents owned their own business and worked very hard to provide us with a loving environment. I was active in drama and music but also spent a lot of time helping my parents with their business. After graduating from high school I entered the work force. I worked hard and developed a talent in make-up artistry. Later, in my 30’s, I returned to school and completed my degree at the University of San Francisco in Human Resources. After working in the high tech world, I decided to start my own make-up artistry business to satisfy my creative side. Along with working with Scott in our real estate business, I volunteer teaching art to kindergarten and first grade children. I am really looking forward to having a family and planning birthday parties instead of client parties.
Scott writes...
"Cori is bright and witty and the sunshine in our relationship. She has given me both unconditional love and support, believing fully in me and providing the strength I need when tough moments arise. Her belief in, and support of me has allowed me to do things I could not have done on my own. She is definitely the “fun” one in our relationship and organizes many of the neighborhood get- togethers."
Our Home and Families
We live in a small community in San Diego. We felt that this community would be a perfect area to raise children. There are excellent schools, parks and shopping all within walking distance. There are many families with children. There is also a Boys and Girls Club nearby that offers lots of activities for children. We love living in San Diego with its warm weather. We also enjoy being able to do may things like going to the beach, the theater or the Padres games.
Cori’s family lives in Orange County. Her sister, Nicki, is married and they have a 7 year old son, Max. Since we live very close, we are fortunate to have a close relationship with Max and we spend a lot of time together. Scott’s family lives in Northern California. His father and step-mother will soon be moving to Arizona so they will be closer to their grandchildren in San Diego. Both sides of the family are very supportive of our decision to go forward with adoption and are excited to have a new member of the family.
Our Values
We have spent a lot of time discussing how we will raise a child and the values we would like share with him or her. We believe that it is very important to have a parent stay at home. We are setting up our business so that Cori will be a stay at home mom and Scott will have the flexibility to help out with school and extra activities. Both of us value education and will do whatever we can to give our children a quality education. We will teach our child to be a respectful and caring individual. We will teach them the importance of helping others sand to always try to do their best. We will raise our child with lots of love and consistency and give them a lot of praise.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to tell you a bit about us. We look forward to meeting you in person. The opportunity to become parents would be the greatest gift we could ever receive. If you would like to get to know us better or meet us, please call our friendly adoption attorney, Susan Romer, at the Law Offices of Adams and Romer, toll free at 1.800.U.ADOPT.US (1.800.823.6788) or email us at Cori_lz@yahoo.com.
