We are Darryl and Michelle. We’re excited and appreciative that you are reading our letter. We will not pretend to know how you might be feeling but we hope that learning about us through this letter might provide you with some comfort as you make a very challenging decision.
Bringing a child into our life through open adoption and raising him or her with honesty, trust, respect and love is what we long for. We believe it to be very important that a child knows his or her history and the amazing love involved in your decision.
About Us and Our Family
We met at work over 15 years ago. We began dating in the beginning of the year, were engaged by Christmas Eve and married in the following year. Our communication is strong and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate that we have something so special that is also very rare. Our realization of this fact is truly the reason why more than 13 years later we are more in love than ever.
Going to the movies, watching sports, reading and spending time with our family and friends are just a few of the things that we enjoy doing together. We also take several trips a year to places like Lake Tahoe, Southern California, and Las Vegas. Many times, our extended family have joined us on our trips which include, Darryl’s brothers, their wives, and their 6 children (5 nephews and 1 niece). At least twice a month, we go to Manteca, CA and spend the weekends with my husband’s youngest brother, his wife, and their 3 kids. Our most enjoyable trip to date was the one we took with our nephews, niece and their 4 other cousins. We stayed in a rented cabin for 3 days and 4 nights in Lake Tahoe. We have so many places that we still want to experience and look forward to having a child to share our adventures with. Spending valuable time like these surrounded by the beautiful children in our family has intensified our dream to start our own family.
About Darryl by Michelle
I don’t even know where to start. He is the most amazing man I have ever met. He has, without a doubt, the kindest heart. In my eyes, he is the most sensitive, smart, generous, understanding, and honest man alive. Darryl has a way of making me laugh everyday, at least 10 times a day. Just watching television is more enjoyable when I watch it with him. It is not just me. So many people will just come up and talk to him like they have known him for years. He has a beautiful smile that makes anyone feel comfortable.
Darryl comes from an amazing family and that is why, I can say without hesitation that he will make the most amazing father because he has learned from the very best (his parents).
About Michelle by Darryl
Michelle is definitely a one-of-a-kind person. Her beauty is both external and internal.
Her smile lights up any room and her laugh is sincere and full of life. She also happens to be the most kind and warm-hearted person I know. What really makes her so special to me is her strong sense of values with her family and friends. Any one close to her can testify to her loyalty and deep love. She is committed to her relationships and is incredibly easy to talk with.
What I really enjoy is watching her interact with children. I believe that she will be a loving and caring mother because of her patience, her unconditional love and her high energy.
