You decide whether you would like to let them adopt your baby.

We are here for you to help make the decision that best suits your needs.

Brian and Dorothy

To a Special Woman,

OUR STORY…

It all started when Brian asked to Dorothy to share her shade by the pool.  Dorothy hasn't shared her shade with any other man since!

We are Dorothy and Brian from Los Gatos, CA.  We have been best friends for over nine years and happily married for four years. We have a solid marriage built on love, respect, and faith in God. We commend you for considering such a difficult decision as placing your child for adoption.  We believe that choosing adoption shows great love. After experiencing infertility, we are looking forward to adopting a baby. We hope, through this letter we can   show you the loving, secure family life we will provide for your precious child.

BRIAN

I am the youngest of three boys, raised in the house where my mother continues to live. I have a fifteen-year-old daughter, Samantha, and Dorothy and I are very involved in her life. I play and coach softball for our church league, and have had a love for fishing since I was a young boy. I also enjoy camping with our family. I like hanging out with my nieces, nephews, and friends children, and get a kick out teaching them new things such as fishing, golfing, swimming and playing ball. I have a secure job at a government facility that allows me to come home and have dinner with my family, which we value as an important time together.

DOROTHY

I am the middle child of a very close-knit family, with an older brother and a younger sister.  I have fond memories of spending time with my siblings and value their friendship now that we are adults. I love to travel, scrapbook family photos and take walks with our two dogs. I also enjoy decorating and doing projects around the house. Brian is often surprised when he comes home from work and the furniture has been moved around or the walls are a different color!  For the last 18 years, I've had my own business teaching preschoolers.  People have often said that I have a gift because kids just naturally gravitate towards me. I can’t wait to use all my preschool experience with our own child. Once the new baby arrives, I will stay home and be a full-time Mom!

SAMANTHA, LOLA & BOSCO

Samantha, or Sammy, as we call her, is 15 years old and a normal teenager.  Sammy loves shopping, music, getting to hang out with her friends, and of course boys. Sammy is very excited about being a big sister!  We have two dogs, Lola and Bosco, our playful and energetic Pomeranian's.  Lola and Bosco love children, and all the kids in neighborhood love to come by and visit them.  They handle whatever the kids throw their way -- pulling, poking, and being carried around like baby dolls. We often wonder who is wearing out whom!

OUR HOME

We live in Los Gatos, Ca.  Our home is warm and cozy, and our tree-lined street is quiet, with kids riding bikes and swings, and hanging from trees in the front yard. We often walk to the downtown area where there is a fountain in the plaza that all the children play in on warm days. We both love to be outdoors and enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains that surround us, or going to the beach, which is just minutes away.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

We both grew up in California and continue to have very strong family bonds. All of Brian's family lives in California. Their big get-together is at Thanksgiving, which is a lot of fun. The kids run around while the guys watch football and the girls hang out and make pies. Dorothy's family is spread out with her brother and nephew in New Hampshire, and Mom and sister in Nevada. We enjoy visiting back east and seeing the autumn color, or meeting at her brother’s lake cabin in the summer. One of our favorite traditions is the day after Thanksgiving. We load up our car with Sammy and the dogs and head to the mountains to cut down our Christmas tree.

We have a circle of close friends in our area who are like extended family. They are all very excited about our decision to adopt. Many of them are former preschool families and we have watched their children grow up.

VALUES

Our child will be raised with Christian values and taught respect for others.  We will also encourage him/her to pursue their dreams. We are committed to giving our child the best opportunity in life, providing devoted parents, a loving home and kind, warm extended family.
