You decide whether you would like to let them adopt your baby.We are here for you to help make the decision that best suits your needs.
Renee and Brian
Dear Birth Mother: We are Brian and Renee. It is clear that your decision arises from a great act of love. We appreciate that you are giving us the chance to tell you a little about ourselves and hope you might consider us as the adoptive parents of your child. Our relationship Renee worked with Brian’s sister-in-law, who thought we would get along well together – and she was right! We dated for 3 years and got to know each other through water skiing, camping, snow skiing, household tasks and hanging out with friends and family. In 1994, three months after becoming engaged, an accident rendered Brian partially disabled. The accident affected our future, but not our love or commitment. Not many couples have experienced the overwhelming love and support we received from our family and friends after Brian’s accident. Announcing our intention to adopt has brought about the same emotions. We are excited to welcome a child into the circle of love and support we continue to experience.
I was born and raised in Lompoc – on the Central Coast of California, the fourth generation of a ranching family. I spent my childhood surrounded by extended family and long-time family friends. I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and obtained my CPA Certificate. I am currently a Chief Financial Officer with a company in Sacramento. I am excitedly looking forward to the day when I can be a stay at home mom and focus on raising our family! My hobbies and interests are pretty typical – gardening, reading, socializing with family and friends and attending baseball games with Brian. I enjoy decorating our home for the holidays and am looking forward to having a child to share it with. Brian talks about Renee I have experienced first hand, through my injury, Renee’s depth of love and commitment. She could have easily backed out of our engagement, ten years ago, without any criticism. Renee’s love of family and her values are vital traits for a parent. She is terrific with children and displays an enviable patience with them. Her understanding of child behavior amazes me. Renee’s face absolutely beams when she is able to spend time with her three year-old niece. She will be a wonderful Mother.
I was raised in Marin County, attended college at Chico State and worked in commercial banking until 1998. I took an opportunity to become self-employed through investing and have been doing so for the last six years. I have enjoyed coaching 13-15 year olds in a recreational baseball league for the last few years and we have season tickets to the River Cats baseball team, the AAA affiliate of the Oakland A’s in Sacramento. I’ve always enjoyed music. Growing up, I played the piano, trumpet and guitar. Today, I listen extensively to all types of music and I believe that it’s important for a child to be exposed to music. My parents recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and have moved nearby. My brother and sister-in-law, niece and nephew live in Sacramento as well. Renee talks about Brian When Brian gives his heart to someone, he does so completely and unconditionally. When I first met Brian, the thing that struck me the most was his sense of humor – kids and adults love laughing and joking with him! It amazed me when Brian’s niece and nephew were just infants, how concerned he was with their feelings and wanted to ensure they knew he loved them and cared about them. Because Brian works from home, he will be able to spend more time with our children than most fathers. Brian will be a loving, active and involved Father.
We have been married nine years and have been blessed financially. We have been able to build a home on an acre of land that we share with our 12 year-old cat, Whoopie, who is very spoiled and gets far too much attention! We have a pool (with a safety cover (shown above)), a large expanse of lawn, and paths perfect for riding bikes and scooters. Our friends and family know they are always welcome in our home and we enjoy hosting get togethers and summer barbeques by the pool. The neighborhood is full of children. Brian is the president of our Home Owners Association, which sponsors events such as a 4th of July bike parade, Christmas caroling with a Santa visit and summer garden tour and barbeque.
We have numerous friends and family who have been touched by the adoption process both as parents and as children. Your child will have plenty of interaction with others who have been adopted. We appreciate the time you’ve just spent reading about us. We would enjoy getting to know you. Please feel free to contact us at 1-866-681-9620 or our friendly adoption attorney, Susan Romer, at 1-800-U-ADOPT-US. We can’t imagine what a difficult decision this is for you, but please know that you are making a dream come true for our family. Warmly, Renee & Brian ![]() Back to "Families"
