We are here for you to help make the decision that best suits your needs.

Shahrzad and Massoud

Dear Expectant Mother,
We admire your courage in considering adoption. One can only try to imagine the difficulty that comes with your search for a happy and safe home for your child… it is amazing and selfless. We are flexible, easy-going people who have complete faith that there can be a happy outcome for all of the unexpected, but remarkable, adventures that life offers. Our hearts are open and ready to begin our family through adoption and we will always welcome you into our lives.

We are a Persian-American couple and have been happily married for more than ten years. We met through mutual friends while Shahrzad was living in Virginia and Massoud in California. After a long distance relationship, Shahrzad moved to California where we were married. We have a very loving and secure relationship and we feel blessed with being surrounded by lots family and good friends.

Our Home
We live in a beautiful, newly re-modeled home in San Francisco that has plenty of room to grow and expand our family. We value education and there are wonderful schools in our area, both public and private. Golden Gate Park is close to our house and there are incredible jungle gyms, slides, and climbing structures. Also there is a beautiful sandy beach minutes away from our house. We spend our weekends attending different events in the city and the surrounding area such as concerts, art shows, film festivals or just walk in any of the many nice and lively neighborhoods in San Francisco. We also love outings with family and friends during weekends. The combination of accessibility to nature and a metropolitan area is truly unique in San Francisco and we try to enjoy it as much as possible.

About Massoud from Shahrzad
Massoud was born in Iran and moved to the United States when he was nineteen years old. He is the oldest son of seven children and remains very close to his mother and siblings. Massoud attended Berkeley College of Music in Boston and now owns and manages two music stores that sell musical instruments. He loves music and still enjoys playing the guitar and singing. He also has a more mechanical side and loves spending time fixing classic cars. Traveling and spending time with family and friends are also very important to him.

I always had hoped to marry a man who had a big heart, positive outlook on life, loved his family, and would share my dream of becoming a parent. I feel so fortunate that Massoud has all of those qualities. But, more than that, he is a tremendously kind and patient person who has an incredible sense of humor. He is a self made man, well traveled and interested in different cultures, which has helped him to become a thoughtful and open-minded person. As a father, I believe that he will be fiercely protective, kind, loving, and a lot of fun! Teenage kids in our family and in our circle of friends love him.

About Shahrzad from Massoud
Shahrzad was born in Iran and moved to the United States over twenty years ago. She comes from a loving and supportive family and is the youngest of six children. She studied Computer Science and received her master’s degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University and works as a software product manager. Shahrzad is very active and enjoys swimming and volleyball but also likes relaxing by reading, watching movies, solving puzzles and listening to music.

Shahrzad is my best friend. She is a very nurturing person and I believe that she will be a fantastic mother. She loves being with our nieces and nephews and our friend’s children. I am constantly impressed with her patience and warmth. Her friends and family confide in her and trust that she will listen to them without judgment. She also loves to laugh and knows when to not take life too seriously. She is a woman of integrity and values education, honesty, and friendships.

Our Family and Friends
We are both very family-oriented and come from large families, and feel fortunate to continue to have close relationships them. We also feel fortunate to have two grandmothers involved in our lives, and they are both very excited that we will be starting our family though adoption. Shahrzad’s mother lives with us and is a tremendously loving, and kind grandmother. Massoud’s mother lives very close to the house and is anxious to be a grandmother again. We also have many friends who live near by with their children so there are plenty of children for a child to play and grow up with.

Our Thoughts on Parenting
We greatly value family, togetherness, hard work, kindness, open communication and respect for individuality. Our greatest desire is to create a healthy and nurturing environment where a child will be encouraged to grow to reach his or her greatest potential. We feel that our experiences of living in different countries will allow us to introduce our child to a different aspect of life. Although we do not participate in one particular religion, we do believe in God and fundamentals that are common to all religions. We will encourage a child to learn about different religions so he or she can choose what they would like to practice. There is so much more that we look forward to hopefully talking with you about.

Finally
We would like to share our promise to you that above all, your baby will be loved unconditionally and he or she will always know of the brave, yet difficult, decision that you made out of the purest kind of love. We would love to hear from you and learn more about you and your hopes for your child. We are also happy to answer any questions that you have about us and can be reached through our toll free number: 1-877-415-1362.
