adopt your baby.
We are here for you to help make the decision
that best suits your needs.

Stefan
Dear Expectant Mother,
My name is Stefan and it has always been my dream to be a dad. Thank you for considering me as a possible adoptive parent for your child. I respect your willingness to make the loving choice of adoption and I am grateful to you for taking a moment to get to know me through this letter.
A Little about Me and My Family
I was born and raised in Southern California, right around the corner from Disneyland. I have one brother and three sisters and we are all very close with just a few years apart in age. Growing up, our home was always full of laughter, love, friends, and many pets. My family highly valued music and I started playing the guitar and the piano at a young age.
A large part of my family lives in Sonora, Mexico and one of my favorite things to do is to spend summers with them. We spend time exploring local villages, cooking, and hiking the beautiful San Carlos coastline. We have recently started snorkeling and diving, and after a day in the water, we usually end the day by having a bonfire on the beach, telling stories and sharing memories. Both my European and Hispanic heritages are very important to me and I look forward to embracing, preserving, and celebrating my family’s heritages, languages and traditions with a child.
I earned both my B.A. and graduate degree from UC Berkeley and have been working as a licensed clinical social worker for the past eight years, providing counseling and support for women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse and drug or alcohol problems. I value being able to spend my days helping people. I have the financial security to raise a child on my own, as well as a very flexible work schedule that will allow me to take as much time off as needed to spend with the baby.
Family is very important to me. My parents are still married and are looking forward to celebrating their 43rd anniversary this year. I am the proud uncle to four nieces and three nephews. One of my favorite things to do with my nieces and nephews is to take them to Disneyland and go crazy in ‘Toon Town.’ We love being silly and laughing our heads off. My entire family is very supportive and excited about my plans to adopt. In fact my mom is so excited about being a grandmother for the 8th time she is already stocking up on baby toys!
My extended family of siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents numbers over sixty people. When we have our family reunions or when we gather for holidays, I am always thankful for my large, loving family.
About our son (a note from my mom and dad)
“Our son Stefan is a great man with a kind and nurturing heart. He has always made us proud. He is funny, smart, and has always talked about his dream of becoming a father. He has so much love to share. He approaches everything in life with gentle understanding and with unconditional love. He will be a great dad!”
Home, Friends and Fun
My home is a lovely 1920’s cottage in Oakland, California. Just a quick drive from San Francisco, it is a safe and culturally diverse neighborhood that has many gardens, parks, and top-rated schools. I am walking distance to Lake Temescal, a short drive to the beach and there is a fantastic playground just around the corner with jungle gyms, slides, swings and a big sand box. There are always children playing outside and the neighborhood has a strong sense of community.
A kid at heart, I also love amusement and water parks. I love to take my nieces and nephews on rollercoasters or race down waterslides on inner tubes built for two. An avid horse rider, I look forward to bringing the beauty and excitement of horse riding to a child.
I have a large group of close friends that I consider part of my extended family. We often get together and have big dinners, and sometimes go away for the weekend to the beach or the mountains. Most weekends you will find me cooking up hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, riding go-carts in the back yard with my nieces and nephews, or horseback riding. I have several close female friends who look forward to being female role models for my children.
I have always found travel an important part of life and look forward to sharing this zest of discovery. I volunteered at an orphanage in India, toured the Red Square in Russia, walked the Great Wall of China, camped in the deserts of the Middle East and helped build an elementary school in Africa.
A Wonderful Future for a Child
My commitment is to provide a child with a happy childhood, a loving home and a safe place to learn and grow. I value the importance of a good education, from pre-school through college. I look forward to visiting the zoo and discovery museums, making projects for the science fair, and exploring libraries. I will encourage a child to develop skills as a team player, appreciate the beauty of nature, and to never stop exploring and learning. There is so much I want to share.
About our brother (a note from my three sisters)
“I can’t imagine anyone being a better father than our brother Stefan. He is an extraordinary man who has always been smart, patient, loving and kind. Observing him with our own five children, we are convinced that he will be a great father and give a child plenty of love, security, and a life full of adventure."
In Closing
I want to thank you again for taking the time to read this and getting to know me a little better. I think it is important that children know their biological roots and I look forward to discussing with you the level of openness that you would like to maintain. During this emotional time, I wish you the strength to make whichever decision will bring your heart peace.
